In the early 90s, my mother-in-law gave
me a subscription to a magazine for bird lovers. The beautiful
pictures and plentiful facts about backyard birds nurtured
a strong interest that was already in me. I found myself
watching birds more and more.

What I found I loved most was watching
the birds eat at our feeders. Their highly social antics
amused me for endless hours. I found myself wanting to
put up more bird feeders.
But I had a lot of problems placing bird feeders where
I could enjoy them. Despite the fact that my house was
nearly surrounded by trees, I could not find a limb that
was low enough, on the right side of the tree, strong
enough, freely visible ... you get the picture.

Anyway, it made me start thinking, and
I thought for several years before I finally realized
what I needed. And then it took me another year to find
the right material to do it with. And then another two
years to work out the packaging and logo designs, come
up with a slogan, create a web site and other details.

Finally, it is done! I have invented the
Hug'N'Hanger. And a slogan to describe it: "Hugs your
trees and hangs your things."
I'm proud of this invention because I think it will help
bird watchers get more pleasure from their hobby, and
it will eliminate the need to damage trees in the process.
